Our sweet Aiden is growing up.
This past Sunday when we took him to the church nursery not only did he NOT CRY(when we left)…when we picked him up, the teacher commented on his wonderful manners.
It seems so small yet it was so big.
I have had anxiety over leaving him and him being sad/how he will act for 2.5 years.
And in one moment I began to gain back confidence.

Other people can love him.
Others can meet his needs.

We also have had a full week now of him sleeping in his own room, going to bed at 8pm.
This is also HUGE.

My big boy is growing.
I am working on a post about our co.sleeping with him up until this point, coming soon soon soon!!!

This little lovely has a spirit that is truly breath.taking.
She’s a little angel, truly.

  4. Jennifer says:

My daughter will be 3 on the 23rd and for the most part has co-slept with me her whole life. We just bought her the bed she wanted and we're hoping she'll start sleeping in it. Sge's just getting to big, plus we're trying to have another baby.

  5. Amanda says:

You're gorgeous!!! Love the photos and the stories they tell!

  6. Alys Hejl says:

You & your children are so precious! They are so lucky to have such an amazing mother & you're blessed to have wonderful children. :))) This post is so sweet.

  7. I have been having those moments with my girls. All of a sudden they seem to grow up and change stages right before your eyes but you don't notice right away.

Every single time I open up your blog, your gorgeous face and lovely family always brighten up my day.

I can't wait to hear about your co-sleeping. I'm sure it will be much sweeter than our story. My husband and I end up hanging on for dear life to the edge of our queen size bed with all three girls puzzle fitting somehow between us in all directions. It's very frustrating but I know the day they never return cause they sleep all night in their own bed, we will miss them so.

  8. very, very sweet!!!
you seriously have the most beautiful family i've ever laid my eyes on!
    no. joke.
    your children are models!!!!
    (as are you!) 🙂

  9. My oldest co slept with me forever. She started sleeping on her own at 2 1/2 too. She also had a hard time in the nursery as well. I used to cry dropping her off and then I would avoid going to church because I felt so bad. Sometimes she still clings on to me and she is 6 1/2 now LOL. But my littler two are much better sleepers and always did better in their own bed. And nursery is like the best thing for them! I guess all kids are different!

  10. By the way! So proud of your little man!!

  11. precious pictures of a precious family! we need some mommy/kiddo pics over here. it's just so cloudy. drizzled today and i went out in houseshoes.

How awesome, what a great compliment! Manners are so very important to me. Nothing is cuter than a child with good manners 🙂

I'm telling ya, they grow too darn fast. Mine (one of them) is going to be a TEENAGER this month. How is that even possible?

  16. Emma says:

    I smile. 🙂

  18. Sometimes i feel like such a creeper, but i love your pictures. So beautiful.

  19. Wow you are the cutest little family!! I have a 3 year old and an 11 month old, it is soooo crazy when I realized my oldest wasn't a baby or a toddler… he is a real boy a preschooler even! So crazy!! I sure love following your life story!! Thanks for sharing with us!! xoxo

Love the pictures! I'm glad you volunteered a post about co-sleeping….I was going to ask!
Sometimes I second guess myself bringing our little one to bed, but I know it's right for this time of our lives, and it's not like she'll be a teenager sleeping in our bed! So I'm going to soak up these moments 🙂

  21. I especially love the last photo…the sheer, unadulterated love you have for your children, and your joy in their presence, is so obvious in your eyes and face!

Good job Aiden! I'm looking forward to your co-sleeping post. I'm a little weary of it, but am willing to see what others think of it. By the way, I LOVE the old church pew you're sitting on and the blanket.

  24. Kristin says:

Yaay! Congratulations to your little man..sounds like he's doing awesome.:D Your babies are so adoreable, and I love to see how you love them. It always melts my heart. I think your children are a reflection of you and your hubby, so props to both of you for being good parents. We deffinetly need more of those in this world 😀 xo

  25. I love this post about your kiddos. You have a beautiful family.

  26. Its so bittersweet when babies start to uncling themselves. As much as I am overwhelmed, I love that my babies need mommy. Then when they start to pull away it's hard on the heart.
Thanks again for these beautiful pictures of you angels.
    Blessings,
    Megan

  27. Hailey Marie says:

  31. Momma Bird says:

I can't wait to hear about your co-sleeping journey. We never did it, but sometimes I regret not doing it with our first. His love language is truly physical touch and I feel we could have helped him in so many areas if we hadn't separated him from us in those early months. We make up for it now though, he's almost 3 and when he asks to sleep in "mommy-daddy bed" we always let him. 🙂 They are only young once!!!

  32. Laura says:

I love the smiley pics! it just shows the love, and how happy your cute lil family is.. you have a beautiful smile! I also loved all the colors in the photos!

  33. molly says:

  36. Lisa says:

Hi! I just loved the videos from the other post and especially the one from cali, with the yann tiersen song cause it's one of my favourites 🙂

I'm Lisa, from Sweden and I've been reading your blog for quite a while now, but never commented so just wanted to say; I love it! Your beautiful pictures and stories about your family inspire me to be a better person and hopefully a better mom, when that day comes.

    Thankyou 🙂

  37. Heather says:

Your kiddos are just the cutest! I am so excited about your co-sleeping post. People tend to be negative about it and I just love love love (did I mention I LOVE?) having my baby sleep in between us. It is so nice to know when she needs us, when she's hungry, when she's having a nightmare, etc. and I just don't feel like I would know as quickly if she were in her own room (on the OTHER side of the house, to boot.). Anyways, can't wait!!

  38. you and your family are just so beautiful, i can not even stand it!! and your little ones are getting so big. proud parent moment for you both 😉
    xo TJ
