A Quick Escape to the Santa Barbara Film Festival

Last week, I packed my bags and headed out to sunny Santa Barbara for a quick but magical trip to catch the last few days of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Chris had already been there for two weeks with his film in the festival, and I couldn’t wait to join him for a little sunshine, inspiration, and a taste of the magic that film festivals bring.

Though it was a short visit, every moment was filled with beauty and creativity. We stayed in the most charming beach cottage, right on the ocean—a storybook setting that felt like stepping into a dream. Waking up to the sound of waves and sipping coffee on the porch as the salty breeze drifted through was the perfect way to start each day. Santa Barbara itself is such a gem—cozy, artistic, and overflowing with character. Walking through its charming streets, soaking in the film festival energy, and witnessing incredible storytelling on the big screen made this trip one to remember.
