Snow Day Outfits And Activities Ideas

Living in Dallas, snow days are not the norm, but when they do happen they’re magical for my four kiddos! While we recently enjoyed a light dusting of snow, I know that in other parts of the country, snow days are a regular part of winter life. Whether you’re in Dallas or a snow-covered wonderland, I’m sharing some fun activities and snow day outfit ideas for snow-filled days!

Indoor Snow Day Adventures

Embrace the winter theme by organizing indoor craft sessions. From making snowflakes with tissue paper or coffee filters and scissors to creating DIY snow globes, there’s no limit to the projects that can keep your kids engaged.

+ Bake Something Cozy +

Warm up the house with the smell of freshly baked cookies or brownies. Involve the kids in the kitchen, and let them decorate their sweet creations with a snowy twist.

+ Winter Movie Day +

Build a blanket fort, grab some hot cocoa, pop up the popcorn, and have a winter-themed movie marathon.

Outdoor Snow Day Expeditions

If you’re fortunate enough to have a good amount of snow, get outside and build a snowman. Encourage creativity by using hats, scarves, and even household items to give your snow friend some personality.

Engage in a friendly snowball fight in your backyard. Make sure to dress warmly, and if you’re in Texas, be prepared for some makeshift snow gear – it adds to the adventure!

Even though we aren’t always prepared for snow in Texas, I still try to keep sleds on hand, you never know when it might be time to pull them out and head out for an adventure. Inflatable sleds are a great option if you’re trying to save space!

Dressing yourself or your kiddos for a snow day can be challenging, but with the right outfit ideas, you can stay cozy without sacrificing style. For the kiddos I suggest this fun snow suit.
