The journey of telling AnneMarie’s story was inspired by my daughters. Its a way for me to bring kindness and encouragement to little one’s bookshelves everywhere. It’s truly a story from my heart to yours!

Years ago, as a children’s art teacher, I was able to nurture my passion of fostering creativity and imagination in children — even before those years I dreamed of writing a childrens book of my own. I am truly so blown away and grateful that this dream that has now become a reality!

Inspiration Through My Own Family & Children

Being a mother to four amazing kiddos, reading and books have been an huge part of our home and life. It’s really some of our most treasured time together. I’ve always had a stirring in my heart to write a children’s book of my own, and this story has been growing within me for years.

I am a big believer that we can build confidence and encourage imagination through reading stories with positive messages. It’s the reason I  pour my heart and soul into crafting a story that entertains and also inspires young readers.

My childrens book, “AnneMarie’s Make-Believe,” is filled with sweet details that are a nod to our family and home life. The childrens book illustrations include imagery from my grandma’s antique blue stove to our kids’ beautiful backyard playhouse, every page is a reflection of the love and joy that fills our home, even the children’s book cover has the feeling of our family!

I poured intention into every aspect of this book. AnneMarie’s name is a blend of all my girls’ names: Ainsleigh, Apple, and Adelaide. I love incorporating details like this in children’s book characters. Her appearance mirrors that of my beloved daughters. It’s a tribute to the beauty and strength I see in them every day — illustrated through the children’s book illustrations characters. My own passion for art finds its way into the book’s illustrations. I love adding an extra layer of personal touch and creativity.

Inspired by my affirmation cards, which emphasize the power of our words. In “AnneMarie’s Make-Believe,” young readers will discover the magic that words hold. Therefore they learn how they can shape a world filled with kindness, imagination, and confidence.
