We had the best Halloween and are still feeling all of the excitement! This time of year is filled with so many forever memories made. I’m holding tight to all of the special moments from our family Halloween festivities!
This year we didn’t have a costume theme, each kiddo had something in mind and we helped them to bring it all together! Aiden went as one of his favorite video game characters. Ainsleigh was a faun loved her hooves! Apple went as Belle and Adelaide went as a princess! I dressed as a 1950s bobby soxer!
We kept our tradition alive and headed to my parent’s home. They had everything decorated for Halloween and made the holiday extra special for all of the grandkids. I love making memories in their home, since it’s my childhood home and I have so many of my own memories held within these walls. It’s really meaningful to watch my children make their own memories there.
We had a fun meal and snacks and desserts and halloween festivities for kids. The kids played together and trick or treated, and it was so much fun being out in the neighborhood with them. There were even halloween festivities adults.
I love to watch these moments through their eyes. Even the age difference between Aiden and Adelaide is so fun to watch, it goes by in a blink so to see both of their perspectives on these magical holidays is precious to my mama heart.
We went all out this year decorating the house for Halloween, with pumpkins cascading down our front staircase, pretty mantel setups and pumpkins and spooky ghosts and fall florals with all kinds of halloween festivities at home.
I really enjoyed coming up with halloween festivities ideas this year as we are now more settled into our home! But you know what happens November 1st!? All of the pumpkins go away and we start to decorate for Christmas!
We truly view Christmas as a season in our house! Stay tuned for more of our Christmas decor coming soon!
XO,
Casey Wiegand
