As an artist I feel most like myself when I am creating and working with my hands. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to painting, to making art that embraces color, whimsy, and the beauty of life.
After a season of change, an unexpected move, a longer than expected renovation, and all that the last couple of years have brought It feels good to be painting again. Art is truly healing, and such a therapeutic and comforting place for me. I feel fully present and filled with gratitude when I can put a paintbrush to canvas.
As I am creating and painting again, I am also adding pieces into my art shop, check out my canvases available for sale here! It is my dream as an artist, to create pieces that adorn the walls of your house — to make art that tells a story, and adds to the beauty that already lives in your home. I also have artwork available on my affirmation cards. You can check out my printable art pieces, coloring pages, word art and more. I have such a heart for creating in a way that infuses my work with joy, gratitude, love, and presence. If you’d like to check out my original artwork and our spring collection.
It’s been such a passion project for me to start an art business and subscription. Truly a dream come true for me, and something that I’ve long wanted to pursue in this way! If you’d like to receive monthly art, printables, and more check out The Artful Home subscription.
I encourage you to make time for creativity when you are able. Even something as simple as sketching in a notebook, watercolor paints, or putting paint onto canvas with painting ideas easy. Look for simple painting ideas on canvas aesthetic. Enjoy the process!
Don’t be too concerned with the outcome, especially if painting and art is new to you. What’s most important is how you feel while creating not the painting aesthetic, and what having an outlet like art can do for your mindset and spirit! I always remind my kiddos of this — have fun and enjoy the process, and keep your painting ideas easy simple!
It is my hope that in bringing more art and painting art projects into your life, you find it a joyful experience. I am grateful to be in a season of creating again and to lean into making art and tapping into what makes me feel most like me!
XO,
Casey Wiegand
