This was the most incredible trip to Hawaii, and enjoyed every moment of magical Maui! We traveled with our company, Young Living, and many of our closest friends were also on the trip. We adventured, celebrated, relaxed, and soaked in the gorgeous must see Maui scenery!
There is so much natural beauty at every turn in Maui. At times I felt like I couldn’t possibly take it all in — double rainbows over the ocean, stunning waterfalls, sunsets that took our breath away. Truly, this was the trip of a lifetime, and I was beyond grateful to have Chris by my side.
I wanted to share a few tips and must see Maui places, if you’re anything like me I wanted to fit it all in!
These falls are along the road to Hana. From the front to the back of these falls is about a mile. It’s well worth making the trip to see their beauty!
An arboretum and botanical garden along the road to Hana. There are many beautiful plants and flowers to see!
The most delicious banana bread can be found here! A perfect stop for a treat on your scenic drive.
Reserve a park summit sunrise. Absolutely breathtaking and worth the early wakeup! Keep this on your must see in maui things to do list!
Such a sight to see, especially if you’ve never been to Hawaii. Truly one of the best Maui must see places!
Chris took amazing drone footage here. Really makes you feel the full Hawaii experience. Add to your list of must see beaches in Maui!
Another spot that was really neat to see, and Chris got incredible drone footage here too!
You might book one of these through your hotel, or look locally. Worth the time, for an authentically Hawaiian experience and to witness their beautiful culture and traditions.
A short distance past “big beach” you’ll see a stone entrance with an opening and a blue beach sign. Such a special spot!
This is a popular beach on the north end of the island. Really lovely for a beach day!
A few of my favorites are this suitcase and this carry on bag
I love these luggage tags that made spotting our bags easier.
These packing cubes, this jewelry case, and this travel mirror really made a difference.
Bring items for convenient and comfort like this phone holder for plane and this neck pillow.
You never know when you might need one. It can be rainy and misty here.
It can be a bit chilly in the mornings for sunrise (around 50 degrees) you can find my amazon travel list here.
The sun is strong here, and the bugs are real! You’ll want to be protected.
Many of the beach areas are rocky and rough. These really came in handy for me.
I like this portable charger I found myself using this our entire trip!
Sandals, a sun hat, beachy clothes, and different swimsuit options — you’ll spend more time at the beach than anywhere else. I lived in my beachwear and would encourage you to pack enough!
Don’t forget to pack colorful clothes for a Luau and flowers for your hair. This is such a lovely evening and one that it’s common to dress fun and colorful for!
This trip was more than I could’ve hoped for. With everything going on with our renovation the past year and a half, a getaway for Chris and I was much needed. We really enjoyed our time together, and had fun catching up with friends. I am forever grateful for all of the opportunities and beautiful places that I’ve been able to see, all because of that one shaky yes that I said years ago. To a dream in my heart that I pursued that has been worth it a million times over.
If you have the opportunity to visit Hawaii, it truly is a bucket list spot. Every day we woke up to the most beautiful sunrises, spent the day viewing must see things in Maui, and spent time on some of the most gorgeous beaches in the world. We adventured, we had yummy food, great conversations, and lots of laughs. Truly the type of vacation and getaway that dreams are made of!
