I share a lot about life and our home on this blog, and have been encouraged by each of you to share more fashion finds posts! Pretty clothes have always drawn me in. There is so much joy in dressing myself and my kiddos, and finding pieces that are a reflection of us. I am excited to share more of this process here with you!
Finding my own personal style and fashion inspo outfits has taken time. It’s similar to home decor style, where your taste can evolve and grow. Once you gain a clear vision on what you like, what feels most like you — it’s easier in general to shop and to know which pieces fit within this style.
For my personal style, I like an overall feminine feel, with a mix of preppy like this checkered dress and a touch of whimsy like this baby doll dress. I tend to gravitate toward light colors and airy easy to wear pieces. I keep this in mind when I am shopping or browsing online. Comfort is important to me, and being able to run around with my kiddos is something I look for in my clothes this waffle knit jumpsuit is a great option!
Do you notice a pattern for the styles that you love? Look closely. There are sure to be elements that repeat themselves and can better inform you of what you gravitate toward.
Getting dressed up and wearing fancy fashion dresses and heels, may not make you feel your most comfortable, but sometimes that’s a sacrifice that we make for fashion. Overall, what do you feel most comfortable in? This cozy off the shoulder sweater set is super cute. Think of what is easiest for you to move around in. Choose a style that fits with your lifestyle and the activities that you do most.
You can go a capsule wardrobe style with all neutrals, or you can choose colors that work well together. I find that keeping my staple items neutral and versatile like this jean skirt , and adding a bit of color in, is a great way to always feel like I have something to wear! So many pieces work well together.
If you feel overwhelmed by the amount of pieces, accessories, and fashion bags that you have get them out of your space! This is also important to remember when an outfit or accessory does not fit into your overall aesthetic. Fill your closet with outfits that you love and want to wear. Having a closet full of outfits you love will simplify getting dressed each day!
Don’t forget fun and functional pieces like this red white and blue bathing suit this red white and blue tube socks and these fashion shoes white sandals perfect with the 4th of July right around the corner!
I love that in our current home, I was able to really focus on closet organization. Having a home for everything has been huge for me! I like to shop at a variety of stores and price points. I have been so impressed by the fit, quality, and style of my Amazon fashion finds lately! Don’t be afraid to open your mind to new stores and affordable options!
XO,
Casey Wiegand
