The Recipe for Mother’s day

Mother’s Day Flower Donuts-
You’ll need-
Mini donuts
Icing
Sprinkles
Bamboo skewers
Cardstock paper
Scissors
Glue gun

First, warm the icing up in the microwave in bowls big enough to fit the donuts. I added 1 drop of pink food coloring to 1 bowl of icing and 2 drops in another bowl, so that I had 3 different colors of icing (white, light pink, medium pink). Next, dip the donuts in the icing. You can also take a spoon of the icing and make a striped pattern! Then, add your sprinkles. Allow to dry while you make the flowers and leaves.

I used a bowl the same size as the mini donuts to trace flower cutouts. I hand sketched the flowers around the circle then cut the middle out. I hand sketched some simple leaves. Hot glue them to the skewer. Stick the skewer into the donut then place the paper flower on the donut. You can also take tissue paper or fabric and wrap it around the stems to make a bouquet! Such a sweet (and yummy) Mother’s Day breakfast for mom!
