I’m always looking for fun seasonal crafts, art, and DIYs to make with my kiddos! With Easter approaching, I’m gathering some of our favorites together, to give us lots of time in our art room this holiday. I decided it to surprise the kiddos and make a spring slime with them!
This easy spring slime is a ton of fun to make, and is simple enough to have little helping hands working alongside of you!
+ 1 cup of glue (you will divide this by 3 for 3 colors of slime) +
+ baking soda +
+ food coloring (3 colors) +
+ contact solution +
Put 1/3 cup of glue in each of 3 bowls. Add 1/4 tsp baking soda per bowl. Add 1 TBSP water per bowl. Mix.
Now it’s time to add the food coloring. The key to making pastel colors is using VERY LITTLE food coloring. Add 1 very small drop of food coloring or swirl in with a toothpic. Mix again.
Add 1 TBSP contact solution to each bowl. Mix.
Pick up the slime & knead. The more you knead, the slime will get less and less sticky. If slime is still sticking to your hand, return to bowl and add another TBSP of contact solution.
Wishing you and your littles a super fun holiday and a wonderful time making this DIY together!
XO,
Casey Wiegand
