I’m continuing to share more rooms in our home as they come together, and this week’s reveal is extra exciting! Our primary bathroom remodel is complete, and it’s such a dream to be able to settle into this space. There are many details that have come together to make this space into what I had envisioned for us!
First, I wanted the primary bathroom design to flow with the feel of the rest of our home, classic with both modern and vintage touches. We also carried our favorite white paint color through this space, and the counters and flooring have a marble look to them. It was important to me that our bathroom feel relaxing and like a retreat. I truly feel this way anytime I enter our bathroom, it’s light and bright and has such a clean and calming feel.
Our cabinets are custom and have a seamless look to them, I fell in love with the hardware for this cabinetry clear and brass — it really feels like jewelry for the cabinetry! I have a built in primary bathroom vanity next to my sink area, that I am in love with! The mirror over my vanity is brass with a vintage feel.
I have my favorite aria diffuser in our bathroom. Diffusing essential oils is the perfect way to make our bathroom more relaxing and spa like. Some of my favorites to diffuse in the bathroom are lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint, stress away, rosemary, orange and anything fresh and calming.
One of the centerpieces to our bathroom is the beautiful freestanding bathtub. It is surrounded by windows, with sheers for privacy. This spot feels super dreamy. I am in love with the beaded chandelier hung over our tub. I think it adds the perfect amount of whimsy and glamor to this space.
Our shower was another area of focus for our design, and I spent a lot of time looking at primary bathroom shower ideas. Glass doors, primary bathroom tile with a marble look and beautiful faucet and hardware make it feel like the perfect place to rinse the day away!
Something unique about our primary bathroom layout is that we have separate sink and vanity areas. We made Chris’s a reflection of him. Masculine color for cabinetry, darker countertops, warm wood behind his mirror. Chris loves this area and that it’s customized to his design taste. I love that we were able to make this happen. It adds an unexpected surprise element to our bathroom.
I’ve also been working on getting accessories together, from towel bars, to fresh towels, soap pumps, pretty jars, magnifying mirrors — all of the small things that bring primary bathroom decor together and help the room to feel complete.
I am beyond grateful for this space and so enjoy spending part of my morning routine getting ready in here!
XO,
Casey Wiegand
