Wishing Wand Craft For Kids

It’s a fresh new year, filled with hope and belief! I love setting my own intentions, which I usually mark with a word for the year. I think that there is so much power in including our kiddos in these traditions and rituals — especially when they are affirming and encouraging!

This wishing wand craft for kids is the perfect way to get our children thinking about what they hope for from this year, and giving them a beautiful reminder throughout the year to encourage them!

Wishing Wand Craft

What you’ll need:

+ A stick, straw, or anything that can act as a wand!
+ Craft paper
+ Glitter
+ Glue
+ Decorations like ribbon, jewels, stickers etc.

What to do:

Fasten a star to the top of their wishing wand, add glitter, ribbons, any adornments of your choice! Help your children, or encourage them to write out their word for the year! This can be such a beautiful prompt for conversation with your child, about what they are hoping for in 2022!
