We’re officially embracing fall and Halloween/ spooky season over here! I always feel that this time of year flies by, and I love to embrace each season and all of the festivities surrounding them, to enjoy it all before it passes.
Making holidays special for my kiddos is so dear to my heart. These moments are fleeting, and I am forever grateful that I get to play a role in making these memories extra special for them. It is not lost on me what an honor it is to be their mama.
I’m always looking for simple crafts, recipes, party ideas — you name it, things that we can fit into a busy schedule, that don’t take a ton of time but still feel really special and fun for them. These white chocolate covered strawberry ghosts are perfect because they are simple to make, definitely something that you can have your kids do alongside of you, they are super festive and SO yummy! Who doesn’t love chocolate covered strawberries, after all!?
White Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Ghosts
Ingredients/ Supplies:
+ white chocolate chips, melted
+ dark chocolate chips, melted
+ strawberries (make sure once you wash them, they are THOROUGHLY dried!)
+ ziplock bag
+ scissors
+ parchment paper
Instructions:
Wash all of the strawberries. Dry them thoroughly. Melt white chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl for about 1 minute or you can use a double boiler on the stove top. Stir to get the lumps out of the melted chocolate. One at a time, dip strawberries into melted chocolate. Use a spoon if needed. Set on parchment paper to dry. Allow them to dry 5-10 minutes before drawing faces. Melt the dark chocolate. Pour into a small ziplock bag and cut a very small hole at the tip of the bag. Draw 2 dots for the eyes and an oval for the mouth. Super easy, fun (and yummy!) recipe everyone will love!
A few tips for adding a little bit of Halloween into your home these next few weeks:
+ Spooky kid friendly playlists — I’ve found a bunch of cute ones on Spotify. When they get home from school, have fun music playing!
+ Paint your own pumpkin party — we have tips for this on the blog, but I also love the idea of using faux pumpkins so that you can enjoy them year after year!
+ Festive snacks — spooky snack boards, these sweet ghost chocolate covered strawberries, snack mix/ popcorn ghosts you name it!
+ Simple decor — even something as easy as adding a banner over your kitchen sink, a few pumpkins, some sweet table decor, layer in some Halloween!
+ Autumn scents — fall diffuser blends going or a simmer pot on the stove with oranges, cinnamon sticks and cloves. So delicious smelling!
Really, it doesn’t have to be too difficult or take a lot of time to layer in some special festive elements for the whole family to enjoy!
Wishing you all a beautiful season! If you make these white chocolate strawberry ghosts halloween be sure to tag me!
