House Update: Adelaide’s Floral Bedroom Wallpaper

It’s been so enjoyable to layer in whimsy and style into our new home. Wallpaper is the perfect way to do this in any room! I find that it adds a personal and unexpected touch, that really finishes off a space!

I plan on adding several of these styles into our home, first up was Adelaide’s room using the wallpaper named after her! I loved this in a smaller sample, but seeing it up on the walls is really magical! I love how vintage it feels, so sweet for a little girl’s room. I could also see this looking lovely in a powder room!

The process is not too difficult, once you get going! Peel and stick wallpaper is a more simple way to make over a room, and with a little practice and patience, I think that anyone can get the hang of it!

I love the coziness that this brought to Adelaide’s space. We are still working on grabbing curtains, bringing in art, and also a desk! I think it’s important to show the progress of our home in steps. Not everything can simply be a before and after — the middle is just as important and enjoying the process is a huge part of creativity.

A few tips when choosing wallpaper for your own space:

+ Start by deciding if you will wallpaper an accent wall (bedroom wallpaper accent wall), the whole room, or just the upper half with chair rail below. I think this will give you a better idea on the size of the print you may want to go with.

+ Keep in mind the overall feel of the space, are you going for vintage, whimsical, modern (bedroom wallpaper ideas modern), classic, bohemian, organic? You can tie a whole room together with wallpaper and the feel that it brings. Whether you need bedroom wallpaper ideas or a special nook of your home, this is still important!

+ Do you have a color palette in mind? If you don’t have much chosen for your room, wallpaper could actually be what you base your color palette on! It can also be bedroom wallpaper texture or added texture into any space.

+ Narrow it down and bring it into the room. If you can grab a sample, awesome! If not, pull up the photos of the front runners on your computer and bring it into the space. I have a feeling that once you start adding wallpaper into your space, you may never stop! The process can sometimes be a little labor intensive but once I get going, I have all of these ideas and dreams for almost every space in our home!

This process has had its ups and downs, but we are absolutely grateful and so fortunate to be able to call this place home! We can’t wait to truly settle in, and are looking forward to so many beautiful memories that will fill these walls.
