Our family had the absolute best time in Seaside Florida on our family vacation to kick off summer. I loved sharing an inside peek into so many of the special moments. I had a lot of people reach out very interested in where our favorite places are and what our favorite activities include — and I thought it might be helpful to put all of these details together in one blog post! A guide to Seaside!

+ Have a Bonfire +

This was honestly one of the most fun moments that we had on our trip to Seaside Florida! We booked this experience through a company called Light Me Up Beach Bonfires, and made s’mores at sunset as a family. The kids played on the beach, and one of the most special moments was watching the sunset while sweet Adelaide fell asleep in my arms. A moment that I will forever cherish!

+ Build Sandcastles +

You can bring along buckets and tools, or book through a company like we did. The sand in Seaside Florida is powdery white and perfect for packing into sandcastles. We loved learning how to make them, it was a fun creative moment for our family! I was really impressed with how they turned out. We booked through Beach Sand Sculptures SandCastle Lessons.

+ Have a Picnic +

This was truly dreamy on another level! I told the kiddos that we were doing family pictures, so that they wouldn’t suspect anything! We all got dressed and had a set time to head to the beach. I booked this through a company called Fresco Picnic Company. They did the most beautiful job setting up a gorgeous boho, dreamy picnic for our family. It almost feels silly to call it a picnic, because it felt like our own little fancy party on the beach. It’s not hard to picture how gorgeous a Seaside Florida Wedding would be!

They had a table setup with sweet place settings, florals, lights, a spread of food including a tray just for the kiddos, a cake, layered boho rugs, beach balls and frisbees and everything you could ever want for a magical evening at the beach. It totally had Seaside Florida VSCO vibes! There’s nothing like the Seaside Florida aesthetic for Seaside Florida pictures. My kids were honestly over the moon with this experience, and I could not recommend it more!

More Tips for Seaside

We always book our Seaside Florida homes rentals through a company called 360 Blue. They have the most dreamy houses! Tip: book far in advance, these fill up quickly! In the past we have gotten homes right on the ocean, but this year we went with a house a little closer to town so that we could ride bikes or the golf cart (we rented both of these when in town) to our favorite spots!

Pro tips for beach days, get there early! 8 or 9am is ideal, when not too many people are there, so you can pick your perfect spot! We bought these super convenient fold up backpack beach chairs at the local Publix grocery store. This way we didn’t have to rent them, or try to travel with our own.

Usually we would head back to the house around lunchtime to rest and swim in the pool. Since we get to the beach so early, it’s nice to have the afternoon to regroup. We then head into town around 4 p.m. to check out the shops, grab dinner at our favorite Seaside Florida restaurants, and hit up our favorite snow cone spot — Frost Bites, can’t recommend this spot enough!

A few restaurants that we absolutely love are Bud & Alleys (perfect for date night), Pickles (my go-to for yummy burgers!), The Hub, and Great Southern. There’s a lot to choose from in Seaside, and most is family friendly! There are even a few spots right on the beach with gorgeous views. Waits can be a bit long during busy season, so be sure to plan accordingly!

We absolutely love Seaside Florida, and my heart hopes that this will be a place that we continue to come back to year after year!
