As we embrace wintertime, post Christmas, I love adding magical touches to my home that work for any season. These two garlands would be pretty to add near your kitchen sink, in a kid’s play area, on a mantle– really anywhere that you are looking for a little life after taking down holiday decor!
First up, a Whimsical Star garland:
+ Use star stencils or print the size stars you would like. I used a star cookie cutter!
+ Trace star on the back of glitter cardstock. To save time, place a second sheet of cardstock on top of the other to cut twice as many stars.
+ Lay stars apart at your desired distance.
+ Hot glue string to the back of the stars. So fun!
Lemon garland:
+ Preheat oven 200-250 degrees.
+ Line cookie sheet with parchment paper
+ Cut lemons into thin slices & put on parchment slices.
+ Bake for about 2 hours, flipping halfway through. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
+ Let cool, then use a needle + string to make garland. Hang in your kitchen for a fresh pop of color and clean scent!
