Decorating Our Christmas Mantle

One of my favorite places in our home to add Christmas magic to, is our mantle. There’s nothing quite like a festive fireplace to bring holiday cheer!
I love gathering special pieces, and adding new touches in each year to make our mantle feel collected.

A few tips:

+ Add greenery, real is my favorite but there are many places that sell realistic looking greenery that lasts all season long. Greenery adds such a nice texture and cozy feel.

+ Mismatched stockings add charm and whimsy! I love that our stockings are each a bit different. Something about them makes me feel extra cheery!

+ Twinkle lights are a must! Battery operated fairy lights are my favorite variety!

+ Consider adding in something vintage! Whether it’s a special decoration passed down from a grandparent, or some brass candlesticks from a local thrift store, vintage adds a special charm.

+ Play around with different heights. I add varying trees and Christmas village houses to balance each end of the mantle and give your eye something to rest on.

Last tip: soak it all in! Cozy up by the fire with a mug of hot cocoa, a comfy blanket and a loved one by your side.
