Here are a few steps:
+ The MOST important of all is lighting! Pay attention to which areas of your home have the most beautiful natural light. Pull a table close to a window if you’re kitchen isn’t sunny. Natural light will make all of the difference.
+ Tripods are a great option to allow you free hands while working and a steady shot while photographing. I love this one I listed below!
+ Take your photos up a notch by adding consistent edits. My favorite apps are VSCO, Tezza and Lightroom!
+ Collect props! Find beautiful things around your home or keep your eyes peeled at thrift shops, etsy and home stores. Pretty linen napkins, dishes, holiday decor etc. can add a unique look to your images that fits your style. I also love having a white posterboard on hand at all times for the “background” of my flatlays.
+ This one might sound silly, but it’s often overlooked – wipe the lens to your camera or phone. Start out with a nice clean view before you snap your shot!
+ Practice! I play around with pictures a lot until I get what I am looking for!
Do you have any tips that have helped you in the process of taking better photos?
