With back to school around the corner I’m already thinking of ways to make my kiddos feel loved and special! I have so much fun being creative with their lunches, I think it’s a beautiful reminder for them during their day, that they are precious to me!
A few ideas:
+ Think about getting cute holders to put their food into. I love this one because it works sort of like a bento box and separates their food.
+ Use cookie cutters! How sweet is this touch? So simple and makes their lunch extra special. You can use on fruit, veggies, sandwiches, tortillas – love!
+ Give them options! I usually like to give my kids a few different choices to pick from, depending on what they are hungry for that day!
+ Stick a little note inside. Words of encouragement, a quote or affirmation, a simple “I love you!” will mean so much!
+ Involve your kids/ ask them what they like! Rather than just assuming what my kids want to eat for lunch, it’s important to me to ask what some of their favorite things are that I normally pack or what they’d like me to include next time!
As a mama, I truly believe that it’s the little things – if we can be intentional about pouring love into the simple everyday things, those are the moments that make up their childhoods.
