Backyard Love

Home is where my heart is – my heart being my family. So much love, life, beauty, pain, growth, togetherness and learning goes on inside of these walls. It’s always been so important to me to make our house a home.

My greatest hope is that we create a home that feels safe, inspiring, nurturing and filled with love for our children. These little people face so much when they go out into the world, I long for a soft place for them to land when they enter through our door.

With each inspiring quote or piece of art, with each cozy blanket and soft pillow, with every bit of color and whimsy and warmth, with a dreamy backyard – I hope that our children can feel my love for them – my desire for them to feel safe and held.

If you know me, you know that I absolutely cherish summer with my kiddos. This time is so fleeting! We’re spending more time at home in our backyard, and with that I wanted to share with you a peek inside, or should I say outside!

We love playing in the pool together, no kidding- we spend hours here! We’ve created different seating areas to encourage conversations and staying a while together! We love having meals outside as a family, and have fans in that area to keep us cool in the Texas heat!

One thing that I get asked about often is our artificial grass! Y’all are so curious about this :). I have to say, we LOVE it! The kids don’t track in any mud, and most importantly they won’t slip when they are running and playing.

Being intentional with our outdoor space has made the flow from inside to outside living feel like a breeze!
