Oil Routines: Morning, Afternoon + Evening

Essential oils have become deeply intertwined with my daily rituals and routines. Using oils regularly is the key to falling in love with them, and noticing the real impact that they can have.

I thought it might be fun to share with you what an ideal day might look like, as someone who is passionate about using essential oils as emotionally supportive tools. Let’s walk through morning, afternoon and evening, shall we?

M O R N I N G :

Unlike Casey, I am not a huge morning person (just being real with ya!) I am more of a night owl. So for me, morning routines center around a slow start and being kind to myself! I love using oils that feel luxurious, and get my creative juices flowing.

A combination that I swear by in the morning is Sacred Mountain and Envision. I love layering these as a beautiful perfume. Another one that I cannot quit in the morning (and all throughout the day really) is Bergamot! Heaven!

A really fun tip to be extra-extra is to get a large roller like this one on Amazon, fill it with your favorite carrier oil of choice, and a beautiful blend of essential oils. After you get out of the shower, use this as a body oil, roll it on, and massage it into your skin!

A F T E R N O O N :

This is when I am usually craving a pick-me-up. Enter in Sacred Frankincense. No words for what a powerhouse emotional support oil this one is. I apply this one liberally on my inner arms, above my heart and two drops on the crown of my head. I love to breathe this one in deeply for a reset.

It’s this time of day that I like to pour some Ningxia Red (our favorite antioxidant packed, natural energy supporting drink), a big tall glass of lemon water, and fill my diffusers with something uplifting. Grapefruit, lime, tangerine + Northern Lights black spruce usually do the trick.

E V E N I N G :

This is when I tend to come most alive. After finishing up whatever is left to do for the day, I try to unwind. I’ve been loving Morgan Harper Nichols new book “All Along You Were Blooming” and will usually read a few poems from there, with some hot tea and my favorite calming oils.

Release has been a go-to for me recently. It’s supportive for breaking through old patterns and releasing whatever might be weighing on you. Another that I just cannot possibly live without – Peace & Calming. A forever favorite. I love this in my diffuser with orange for bedtime. A total dream, and so comforting to me!

Your routine can look however you’d like, and certainly doesn’t have to mirror mine! I simply want to encourage you to build oils into your every day! I couldn’t imagine a day without them in my life.
