Valentine Heart Fun!

Making holidays special

Who doesn’t love love? Valentine’s Day is such a sweet time to spoil the ones you treasure and make it super fun! I love creating special touches all around for every holiday, but there is something extra special about this one.

I am obsessed with hearts and I love having these heart sugar cookies around for Valentine’s Day! Whether they’re sprinkled with sugar or covered in pretty icing, they make everything so cheery and bright!

Letting my kids take part in decorating and making others feel cherished is another reason I love this day. Gathering a few pretty things to decorate cards and art to brighten up the walls is easy – glitter and markers, glue sticks and construction paper – and then let their creativity shine through! I’ve found so many cute things at the dollar spot, and it’s always such a treat for kids to have permission to get crazy with creativity.

Finally, one of my favorite ways to make the day special: little love notes tucked around the house. I cut out hearts, or grab scraps of pretty paper and jot things down that I love about Chris and the kids. I tape them to a mirror, stick them in lunches, set them on the table at snack time. It’s easy and fun and the ones I love feel seen and cherished.

We don’t need an excuse to love on the ones close to us, but it’s such a fun treat to surprise them and celebrate them on Valentine’s Day!
