Are you looking for a way to make Christmas morning special for your kids? Watch their faces light up when you slide these Rudolph reindeer pancakes under their noses. With just a little extra effort and a dose of creativity you can take a simple pancake mix and turn it into a holiday memory your family will cherish for year to come. Bonus: these festive Rudolph reindeer pancakes make really cute photo ops with everyone perched at the breakfast table in their matching Christmas pajamas. Ready to hop on Santa’s sleigh with these guys? Let’s go!
If you’re not the craftiest person and worried you’ll mess these up? I promise, you can’t. If you can mix up pancake batter mix and pour it onto a hot griddle, you can make these Rudolph reindeer pancakes. As you cook the batter into the various reindeer shapes, don’t worry if some of them begin to form into something unrecognizable. They’re very forgiving and that’s what the kitchen scissors are for. You can trim up any jagged pieces or shape the circles with a set of shears in no time. (And all of us less-than-perfect mom artists let out a huge sigh of relief.) Here’s the list of everything you’ll need to get those reindeer pancakes on the plates.
What you’ll need:
Cook the bacon first. While the bacon is still warm and floppy, curve it to make the shape of the horns. One banana makes a lot of reindeer eyeballs, so depending on how large your crowd is, you should only need one or two. The rest of these reindeer pancakes are just a step-by-step assembly. Then you get the joy of serving these little creatures to your family. If you’re anything like me, you wait until the last minute to wrap those presents, so it’s a relief to have something simple but so cute for the breakfast table. That’s why I love this idea for breakfast this year.
If you make these, be sure to tag Casey on Instagram and let us see your crew on Christmas morning.
