Apple Juice Playdough Recipe for Kids

We loveeeee time spent at our art table and thought this Apple Juice Playdough would be the perfect one to play with for the holiday season! 

It smells SO GOOD- enjoy!

1 cup of unsweetened apple sauce

1/2 cup of  apple juice

4 tablespoons of vegetable oil

red food coloring ( optional)

2 cups flour

1/2 cup of salt

4 tablespoons of cream of tartar

1 tablespoon of cinnamon

 

+ Measure the dry ingredients {flour, salt, cream of tartar, and cinnamon} and dump each into a medium sized bowl.

+ Measure & mix the wet ingredients {apple sauce, apple juice, oil, and (optional) dye} in a medium sized pot. Heat the wet ingredients on medium, stirring often until it bubbled.

+ Once bubbling, remove the pot from the heat and add the dry ingredients.  Stir playdough as it begins to form, dump the mixture onto the counter to cool.  The dough will be sticky at first but once cooled and kneaded, the stickiness will go away. Keep in airtight container or bag!
