The best surprise EVER. last weekend I was rocking Adelaide and nursing her when the doorbell rang and my best friend, Danielle, was standing on my doorstep all the way from New York.
I cried. We squealed.
She had text Chris about it months ago and I had no clue!
A friend that is like home. Like family. That would fly across the country for huge life events without even telling you and just be there. Doing life together. Such a sweet weekend that I’ll never ever forget.
She has been there for 4 years as I walked the road of loss. We were even pregnant together when she was pregnant with Lula. My baby went heaven bound and her sweet Lula was born Earthside.
So to have her there, with sweet Adelaide in her arms- so she could see her smallness, experience her LIFE that we have prayed over and cried over and so very much CELEBRATED- there are no words!
“…it’s that sort of treasure. Few gifts in life are as precious as companions we once spent long summer days and talked long into the night; with whom we shared thrilling adventures and disastrous mishaps, with whom we bent over in convulsive laughter and sat silently in tearful loss… Most often we didn’t choose our best friends as much as we were thrown together with them in “accidents” of Providence.”
“When you watch first hand the loss, and the life, and the most beautiful redemption story unfolds. And you hold a baby in your arms that you prayed for and over for so long ❤️ ( from Danielle insta)
“the One who calls you is faithful and He will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24″
A surprise weekend, I will truly never ever ever forget!
