Homemade Natural Powdered Blush
I am excited to share with you today another way a friend of mine is using essential oils! Abbey made this AMAZING DIY and I am so excited to share today! It goes perfectly with my #naturalbeautymonth!
And if natural beauty products are something that interest you…she also has done a few other posts for me here & here!
Homemade Natural Powdered Blush
Ingredients:
beet root powder
arrowroot powder
ginger powder
Young Living lavender essential oil
Directions:
1. Put 2 tablespoons of beet root powder into a tin canister or empty makeup container. (I used an old mini Altoid tin. Three cheers for recycling!) Mix in 1 tablespoon of of arrowroot powder and 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder. Mix well. (If you find your beet root powder is a bit coarse, run it through a food processor so it is a very smooth powder.)
2. Add a couple of drops of lavender essential oil to give it a little grab and a calming scent and mix well.
3. If you want it lighter, add more arrowroot powder. Conversely, if you want it darker, add more beet root powder and less arrowroot powder. The ginger gives it some glimmer so you can add more or less depending on how shimmery you like your blush.
This blush stays on well and is a beautiful, rosy color, which will look great on many different skin tones based on the tint you decide to make your powdered blush! Enjoy!
