a wrecked heart.

I am not sure where to begin. HopeSpoken this past weekend was more than I could have ever imagined. ever ever ever. I am a creative soul with a big imagination and more times than not I will dream up the way something should go beforehand and then get let down. This was one of those times that the dream turned out exactly like we hoped for. It was so amazing and honestly I feel like it will take me weeks to process exactly what all happened in my heart this weekend. I don’t want to try and unpack it all in this moment, but I can say that I sit here with a raw heart. It feels stripped away…seeds planted, things happening. Movement and wreckage.

I really couldn’t pick two more amazing girls to be walking along side- Emily Anderson and Danielle Burkleo. We all have different personalities and different gifts and it was really neat to see how well we function as a team. How God placed us together and how He is using us each as an important part of this puzzle. I love these two ladies so much and honestly cannot believe that I get to work along side them.

We started the event with worship…before anyone said a word, before the welcoming was done- we started in song and from the moment I heard 250 women singing in the first 5 minutes, I knew He had shown up. And it didn’t take 24 hours to start breaking down walls…it was happening in the first few minutes. Through tissue paper flowers, donuts, sweets, speakers and music… He was there.

I felt like the whole weekend was a flood of emotion that is honestly hard to put into words. It was all very surreal. Lauren Chandler’s talk specifically wrecked me in the best way possible, but I need more time to process before I can actually try to write it all out.

also a HUGE thank you to my sweet husband. He has about a million things on his plate right now and literally had the biggest heart all weekend…building the stage, filming, doing a million things to make the event amazing. so beyond grateful for the way that he loves me.
