Snow Day.
We had the craziest ever snow/ice storm hit here on Friday… Texas people are not used to this!! On Friday we were without power the entire day but it was back on Friday evening and then stayed on the rest of the time. Schools here have been closed Friday- today and I haven’t left the house once except to walk to the park with the kiddos for some snow play! The snow was absolutely beautiful/magical and the kids absolutely adored it! It has been so sweet and nice to have all of this time at home with nowhere to be… snowstorms, you are welcome here anytime!
Too much cute! Here in WI, I'm LOVING the snow and cold temps! Hope it snows much, much more! Glad your family was able to enjoy it! It's sure beautiful isn't it?!
Your children are beautiful, and those cheeks! I'm sure you can't stop squeezing and kissing them. This is my first year living in the Dallas area; I'm from Utah, so this last snow storm made me feel back at home in Utah. Fresh snow is beautiful!
Awww, Casey…thank you for sharing. This so warmed my heart! We too are cold weather people living in the Midwest and it was adorable to watch you enjoy it so much! I was drawn to this stunning photo of Ainsleigh on Pinterest and so glad I clicked to see these precious photos! Enjoy friend!!
beauty! It has been a while. we are so good, praise Him! As I know you can relate, Ive learned so much this year as an artist, wife, and leaning on Him 🙂
And you! I am adoring watching the many ways He is using you and blessing you. You are so beautifully intentional. Love you so much girl.
We've had a snowstorm here too- but it's a little more common in Boston! I think everyone deserves at least one good snow day in December 🙂 Merry Christmas!
We have been trapped inside since Thursday night…my little guy is a bit too small to get out and play, so we are going crazy over here! Even though it is definitely beautiful to look at, I have to say I'm ready for the ice to be gone! The snow can come back whenever it wants though 🙂
Ohmygosh Ohmygosh Ohmygosh your comments are on!!!! I have been wanting to leave you a comment on here forever!!! You are so wonderful. I just needed to say that to you. Your writing. Your family. Your normal. All of it makes me glad to be a part of this blogging community. Thank you for writing from your heart and sharing your life. You and Chris are very special and I know that God will continue to bless you through your words and films.
Thank you. Some days…some nights…your words and photography have made all the difference.
stunning photos, as always! we get a lot of snow where i'm at, which i hate, but it looks so much better through the eyes of a child. great job capturing that magic! it'll make me feel better when i'm digging out my car later today 🙂
Just discovered your blog and I must say, I am in love. I love your candor and rawness, I'm a "new" mom and new blogger; The Wiegands makes me feel that I am not alone in this journey of motherhood. I love that you love God in a world where spirituality is unfashionable.
Beautiful photos! I am in love with the knit hat both your daughters were wearing!! Living in Ottawa, Canada we can have snowstorms several times a week and sometimes they are a pain- but mostly I think they are magical too, even though I am used to them.
My goodness – your little ones are just breathtakingly beautiful! All of your kids have such beautiful eyes! Thank you for always inspiring me to take photos of my two littles, and for always inspiring me to look for the beauty in everyday! Much love to you, Casey! xo.
Beautiful photos and memories! I love the way you are able to capture the beauty and truth of your family — never posed, never forced, just purely blessed moments of happiness and love. I too am loving the snow, currently curled up in a small coffee shop in Ann Arbor, MI watching the snow fall down outside… wishing it would fall down a little faster so I could put on my gloves and start throwing some snow balls!
burrr! gives me the chilly willys looking at the photos, but still so much fun. sometimes i wish we had snow, but then i'm such a wuss when it's only 50 degrees here in california. all of your babies are growing up so beautifully casey!
What wonderful photos!!!! I am not a fan of snow …. we had an ice storm on Monday and a snow storm on Tuesday :-/ And we're expecting another snow storm on Saturday! And winter hasn't officially arrived yet!!! Stay toasty! diane @ aug's blog
beautiful pictures, so nice. Snow has been here in Saskatchewan since the end of October, it's so normal at our end of the world. Enjoy a white December.
It is so funny to see the little bit of snow that you guys have and hear that they closed down school for that long! I can't imagine not having snow every year. We had that much here in NY this week and it was a "dusting". Enjoy the beautiful white layers!! It looks like you all had a great time outdoors 🙂 xoxo
Found you through Pursuit 31 and can't wait to hear you speak in the fall! I searched your comments, but couldn't see if someone already asked this. Where is the hat your daughter is wearing in the square close up from? I want one for myself! 😉 Also your photography is stunning. Love the one of the dogs and the children in the street with no cars the best! Merry Christmas!
