we were on tv
Hilary, a good friend of ours, called me a few weeks ago and asked if I would be interested in coming onto a local TV station and doing a quick 4 minute art project with her…I said yes and decided to bring Aiden along to help with the handprint project!
We arrived an hour early and set up all of the supplies… then went on about half way through the show and I was so nervous!! I think if we ever do it again I will feel a little less afraid now that I have done it once!
hopefully?!
It was live tv and Aiden made everyone laugh because he wanted to watch himself on the screen the whole time! He was so adorable. I was so so proud of him, he did fabulous!
It was a fun experience and they even asked us to come back and do another one soon! So, here are a few pics from today :). I had to include that last one… can you believe how much Apple is growing?!
**I wasn’t going to include the link because I feel a little silly and a tiny bit embarrassed but here it is anyways. click here.
How cool is that! I am so excited for you guys! Being on TV is a big deal. I would so be freaking out with joy and nerves too! Love the pictures you shared and the family pictures too! Your little Apple is so so cute to boot
Casey! That is so cool! This may be super weird, but I am always so excited to hear what blogger's voices sound like- it just makes them seem so much more real. How fun that we've seen you (and Aiden) ON CAMERA! 🙂 Rejoicing with those who rejoice tonight. Congrats! 🙂
Casey, that's great! You did amazing too, couldn't tell you were nervous at all! I totally understand, when I was on house hunters international, I didn't want to tell anyone when it aired, I was so nervous!
How fun is that!?! And yes Apple is growing so quickly, I have had my hands so full with the baby I haven't had time to keep up with my blog reading. 3 months is fast approaching! They don't look like newborns anymore, they look like little gerber babies!
PS, I have a slight obsession with hearing my fave blogger's voices. Is that just me? You have a little Texas accent. Don't know why I didn't think you would, seeing that you are from Dallas and all, lol. You seem even sweeter in person!
You guys did such a great job! 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing! I'm really wanting to try this out soon! I dreamed that you came to visit us last night… It was like we were old pals. 🙂 Love all the pics, but that last picture is so sweet! Hugs!
I can imagine how nervous you were but, from a viewer's point of view (that sounds funny) there was no way to tell! You did a good job and so did Aiden 🙂 What a fun experience to show up on tv! xo Camila. http://www.camilagcarneiro.blogspot.com.br
Glad you included the link! =) I'm curious to see how it all turned out! And Apple IS getting so big. Your babies are so beautiful! Very sweet last pic!
This is really cute idea for Christmas presents!! I am wondering what you used for the background texture? I took a painting class in college, but that was 10 yrs. and 3 kids ago so I can't remember- is it gesso or some other kind of heavy medium?? I love art projects with the kids. 🙂 I don't think they get enough exposure at school.
i's so glad you shared the video! i'm sure i would be emarassed too, but i like to see bloggers on video, hear their voices, see their hand gestures. idk, it just helps me connect more with them. and big kudos for taking a three year old on live tv!!! my son is good but he is very loud and sometimes doesnt listen. but aiden did very well!!! and i love the piece you showed, its very cute!!!
you and aiden were great on tv! don't be embarrassed 🙂 also, i was wondering what did you use to cover the canvas to give it that texture (before you started painting it)?
