Rice Cereal

Well, today was a big day. Aiden tried Rice Cereal for the first time. I was waiting until he was 6 months old and finally called my doc today to see if we could go ahead and start (just a week early)! Chris returns from London tomorrow so we wanted to practice once so that we could show him how big Aiden is getting!! I am very blessed to work with Chris…we drive to and from work together, we eat every meal together, we are rarely apart so him being gone for a week was a huge difference for me but also for Aiden. Everytime he heard a deep voice on TV his head swung around looking for Chris! I can tell he really misses him!!! We are ready for him to be home with us :). Also, it has rained non stop for the past couple of days and anytime I am face to face with nature I can’t help but think about how amazingly creative our God is. His creations are truly remarkable and his design is so perfect. I think about how much I love Aiden and literally cannot imagine sending my only son…..

There is a joy that having a child brings that I never knew existed…..he constantly makes me smile and fills some incredible place in my heart. And to think God loves us even more than that…AND that he loves OUR children even more than we do…. I feel very blessed today. I am thankful for my husband, my little Aiden, for the rain and God’s constant reminders of his presence. xoxo…

  1. Nat & Annie says:

I love this Casey – I too, thrive on nature and when I see an ocean I am in awe of how big the Lord is. I also can relate to the love for your child and how you can't imagine life without them. A friend once shared with me before Annie was born, that we will get a glimpse of the love of God for us (and yes our children too)….and I think you are right. Like the Scripture that says "which of you would give your son a stone if he asks for bread?"….I think children teach us so much….perhaps more than we teach them.:) Can't wait to meet up!

  2. Hey there! I left a comment a while back when Aiden was in the NICU (I am Annie's {Housholder} sister-in-law). Annie just had a baby boy who happens to be in the NICU as well and it seems he is having the same problems Aiden did. I am glad to see he is doing so well now…God is good! Anyhoo, I wanted to stop back by and check on Aiden after Annie reminded me about him. Please say a pray for Will…as you know, Annie is having a hard time not being with her baby! HUGS!
