DIY Belly Balm
DIY BELLY BALM
There is nothing more beautiful than new life. A precious little babe that brings so much joy to our hearts and our lives. Those months of baby growing inside of you are nothing short of a miracle.
As our body adjusts and grows, we need to give our bellies some love and care. I love this easy DIY Belly Balm – it’s so simple to whip together, and is so soothing and nourishing for our skin!
You’ll need to create a little double boiler if you don’t already have one. Just add a couple inches of water to a saucepan and put a glass bowl on top, making sure that the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water. Bring the water to a boil, and then add in your ingredients.
You’ll need:
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/3 cup shea butter
1/3 cup cocoa butter
2 tablespoons beeswax
1 tablespoon jojoba oil
25 drops Gentle Baby essential oil
Once the water is boiling, add in coconut oil, Shea butter, cocoa butter, beeswax, and jojoba oil. Stir occasionally until everything is melted and combined. Remove from heat and stir in your essential oil!
Once it’s cooled a bit, transfer to a container of your choice. I love keeping mine in a small mason jar, ready to use whenever needed. Apply right after a warm shower, or before bed.
You can also use this sweet little combo to soothe any skin irritations or moisturize dry skin as needed!
