We loved our time in 30A this summer, here is our guide to 30a Florida! Our family had the absolute best time in Seaside Florida on our family vacation to kick off summer. I loved sharing an inside peek into so many of the special moments. I had a lot of people reach out very interested in where our favorite places are and what our favorite activities include — and I thought it might be helpful to put all of these details together in one blog post! BEST VACAY CHOICE!

Seaside, Florida/ 30A is one of my favorite spots to vacation. It is such a dreamy area, with magic around every corner! I was lucky enough to have a girls trip/ business retreat there this year, and I am still buzzing over the details and all of the magic that we experienced together!

If you’ve never been to this part of Florida I highly recommend check out a 30a florida map to see the location, it’s really convenient when visiting Florida and you can’t beat the 30a florida aesthetic. The water is the MOST gorgeous color, the sand is powdery white, the town is adorable, the homes are GORGEOUS and there are lots of great restaurants and spots to visit.

+ 30A FLORIDA WHERE TO STAY +

First our absolutely beautiful home rental! We rented a beautiful home, that had the sweetest bunk room and most gorgeous kitchen. We spent time relaxing outside, soaking in the beach and even chartered a yacht for the day! Truly so many pinch me moments!

The house that we stayed in was perfect! Truly, if you are looking for a place for a big group to have a comfortable stay, I cannot recommend this spot enough! Check out 23 Spotted Dolphin, a luxury 30A vacation rental with all of the amenities! It’s 5 bedrooms, 6 baths, has a private pool, is walkable to the beach, sleeps FOURTEEN!, has an incredible kitchen built for a chef, comes with a golf cart and more!

+ BEACH BONFIRE +

We did this as a family on one of our trips and this was honestly one of the most fun moments that we had on our trip to Seaside Florida! We booked this experience through a company called Light Me Up Beach Bonfires, we made s’mores, the kids played on the beach, and we soaked in the sunset as a family! A moment that I will forever cherish, an awesome option for 30a florida with kids!

+ Build Sandcastles +

You can bring along buckets and tools, or book through a company like we did. The sand in Seaside Florida is powdery white and perfect for packing into sandcastles. We loved learning how to make them, it was a fun creative moment for our family! I was really impressed with how they turned out. We booked through Beach Sand Sculptures SandCastle Lessons.

+ HAVE A PICNIC +

You can keep this simple and grab some sandwiches from a local spot, some chips and drinks and head to the beach! We had a special picnic, and it was one of the most magical experiences of our most recent visit! I booked this through a company called Fresco Picnic Company. They did the most beautiful job setting up a gorgeous picnic for our family.

They had a table setup with sweet place settings, florals, lights, a spread of food, beach balls and frisbees and everything you could ever want for a magical evening at the beach. My kids were honestly over the moon with this experience, and I could not recommend it more!

This vibrant mobile treat haven offers a delightful array of shaved ice creations, each bursting with flavors that evoke sunny beach days and carefree afternoons.

It wouldn’t be a 30a trip without a stop at Duckies! Nestled in the heart of 30A, Florida, Duckies Toy Store is more than just a shop—it’s a cherished destination where childhood dreams come to life. Boasting a vibrant array of toys, games, and imaginative playthings, Duckies captures the essence of whimsy and discovery.

More Tips for Seaside

Lately we have booked our Seaside Florida homes rentals through a company called 30a Beach girls. They have the most dreamy houses! Tip: book far in advance, these fill up quickly! In the past we have gotten homes right on the ocean, but this year we went with a house farther out of  town for a different experience! Next year I think we will go back to the heart of Watercolor because we missed riding bikes into town as a fam! But this house was the PERFECT home for the event we hosted back in February!

Pro tips for beach days, get there early! 8 or 9 am is ideal, when not too many people are there, so you can pick your perfect spot! We bought these super convenient fold up backpack beach chairs at the local Publix grocery store. This way we didn’t have to rent them, or try to travel with our own.

Usually we would head back to the house around lunchtime to rest and swim in the pool. Since we get to the beach so early, it’s nice to have the afternoon to regroup. We then head into town around 4 p.m. to check out the shops, grab dinner at our favorite Seaside Florida restaurants, and hit up our favorite snow cone spot — Frost Bites, can’t recommend this spot enough!

A few restaurants that we absolutely love are Bud & Alleys (perfect for date night), Pickles (my go-to for yummy burgers!), The Hub, and Great Southern. There’s a lot to choose from in Seaside, and most is family friendly! There are even a few spots right on the beach with gorgeous views. Waits can be a bit long during busy season, so be sure to plan accordingly!

We absolutely love Seaside Florida, and my heart hopes that this will be a place that we continue to come back to year after year!
