We had the sweetest Thanksgiving with so many memories made! Holidays hold such a special place in my heart and I cherish each one that we spend together.
With four kiddos — two of them now teens, I am deeply aware of how fast time passes, and how fleeting these special moments can be. All the more reason to savor this time and to soak it all up. I truly believe that presence with our family and being intentional about togetherness is something that our children witness, and will carry that value on with their families.
This Thanksgiving we had some new mixed with the old! We celebrated for the first time in my parents’ new home — a special experience. I am so happy for them! And it was wonderful to see us carry out our long-held traditions in a new space. It’s a reminder that it’s not always where we are, but who we are with that matters most!
Thanksgiving is my favorite meal of the year, and I had all of my favorites including my mom’s pumpkin pie recipe with extra whipped cream. SO good!
We also incorporated lots of Christmas into our Thanksgiving break, like tree lighting, sledding, Christmas jammies and cozy time at home together!
I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday with your loved ones!
XO,
Casey Wiegand
