We are embracing all things summer fun this season! There’s nothing better than having our kiddos home for summer break, making memories together, and soaking in this time. We love to make special treats together, and this fizzy lemonade was a HUGE hit with our fam!
When I made a similar fizzy drink for New Years Eve, they brought such a festive and fun vibe to the holiday, that I’ve been wanting to recreate them for summertime. I don’t know about you, but I cannot get enough of lemonade, and all things lemon, especially this time of year! These fizzy lemonades would be perfect for a backyard BBQ, a summertime brunch, or a summer party.
+ Lemonade (fresh squeezed or your favorite brand) +
+ Fizzy drink (sparkling water, lemon soda, or I used sparkling ice lemon flavor) +
+ Lemon cotton candy (or any light color cotton candy) +
+ Marshmallow Fluff (to rim the glasses) +
+ Pretty sugar or sprinkles (yellow if you can find it!) +
+ Fun champagne glasses (we found cute plastic ones!) +
1. Dip the rim of your glass in fluff.
2. Add sprinkles or sugar into a plate, and dip in a rolling motion the rim of your glass, sprinkles/ sugar should stick to fluff.
3. Add a fluffy piece of cotton candy into the glass.
4. Pour in lemonade.
5. Top with sparkling beverage.
Enjoy!
I love the idea of setting these out on a tray or having a little station where guests can DIY their own beverages! These are such a fun treat! Add a bowl of lemons or sliced lemons in the base of your floral vase to bring the lemon theme home! A fun yellow table scape with a yellow table cloth or runner is another lovely touch. Once you make this a few times you’ll have this down to a fizzy lemonade science.
Making this recipe had me dreaming about hosting summertime get togethers with friends, and all of the special get togethers that we can have this time of year. Fizzy lemonade would be perfect for a summertime brunch or luncheon. I’ll share some tips here!
Summer is the time of year for bright colors, and all of the gorgeous blooms that bring so much life to this season. Incorporate wildflower bouquets on your dining table and buffet.
I love this checkered table runner. This is the time of year to bring out all of your most colorful pieces!
If you’re serving up fizzy lemonade, cute lemon themed plates and napkins would be a fun touch. Otherwise, go for florals, citrus or fun summer colors!
A yummy caprese salad with summer tomatoes, a salad with summer corn, a peach dessert with fresh peaches, strawberry shortcake this is the time of year to highlight all that you can find at your local farmers market.
When hosting a holiday, we normally have our ovens going, take full advantage of summer and grill up some yummy chicken for a salad, or some skewers filled with veggies and marinated meat or seafood.
Add a drink station with fresh squeezed lemonade and a setup for this fizzy lemonade drink, and you have the perfect summer lunch setup!
Whether you serve these up for a cozy day at home with your family, or at a summer soiree — what’s most important is that you soak in this season and make even the most simple moments special!
Tag me when you try this million dollar lemonade recipe!

Casey Wiegand
