One of my favorite things about being a mama, is making holidays extra special for our kiddos. 4th of July is no exception, and we love to embrace all things red, white, and blue! I keep this in mind when searching for 4th of july outfits for kids.
It’s so sweet to have these pictures from past years of our four littles dressed up for Independence Day. I especially love mixing patterns and prints, and a classic, nostalgic Americana style. As a family we normally enjoy a 4th of July parade, pool time in the backyard, BBQ and family get togethers, and then fireworks, sparklers and all things in celebration of the 4th!
Whether it be Christmas, Easter, the 4th of July or any other major celebration, I usually like to lay out the kiddos outfits or have them side by side on my computer screen before ordering. I like to keep the tones similar, and patterns that play well with one another. This fits perfect with the theme flag overalls adding in accessories like this are also a fun way to layer in Stars and Stripes flag hat or for the girls these flag bows.
Sometimes my girls and I like to fully match and have fun with that like these mommy & me matching dresses! But usually on a holiday like the 4th of July, I like each of them to have their own individual style. It’s fun to see their little personalities change over the years! These would be neutral enough to fit into any style butterfly jean shirt dress.
This is especially important for the 4th of July. I want to make sure my kids can run and play comfortably like this one boys flag set, because so much of this day is spent outside enjoying the weather and playing with cousins or friends! Sets are a really nice option for comfort and ease of play usa shirt with jean shorts set we also plan to spend lots of time by the pool, so fun suits like this flag swimsuit are a must.
With 3 girls in a row, I like to reuse and hand down dresses from Ainsleigh, to Apple, to Adelaide. This is red striped, blue star dress is a really great option that all of my girls will love! It’s super sweet to see them each getting use out of some of our favorite pieces.
I’m a lover of classic and whimsical style, in home decor and in clothing. 4th of July is really the perfect holiday to bring that style to life, and I keep it in mind when shopping like this boys american flag button down. If you’re crafty you could even attempt 4th of July outfits for kids diy!
