I’m pretty sure that we found a new annual tradition! We made orange garland together, they turned out beautiful, and the process of making them was lots of fun for all of us!
First we sliced our oranges, you can decide what thickness you’d like. I found that somewhere around ¼ inch thick allows them to be transparent while also holding their shape and not breaking.
Set your oven to 250 degrees, meanwhile lay your orange slices flat on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake for two hours, then turn slices over and bake for 2-3 additional hours. Check as you are nearing the end, to be sure not to burn.
Set aside to dry and cool.
You can string these through ribbon, twine or add ornament hooks!
