oh i just love the gussy bag. i have heard awesome things about those muslin swaddlers. they weren't really "big" when story was a newborn 2 years ago. cute post, friend. and pampers diapees are the best…i always use name brand when they are newborns, then cheap-o when they are older…
I always made sure to have a tiny hat. I loved the side-snap shirts for when babies are newborn and it is so hard to pull little clothes over their heads. Their fragile bodies always seemed easier to handle when their one pieces opened down the side or front. Awwwe, I am so happy that she has stayed put for now and I hope get at least a couple of more weeks of her inside of you. Love to you both!
Hi Casey, I love your blog! I had to comment on this post because I was so surprised that your not a cloth diapering mama!! I hope its something you'll consider, so much healthier for the babies!!
Those Aden & Anais muslin swaddles are beyond awesome. We actually ended up with 8 in total because they can be used for absolutely everything!
Olivia's hospital bag was quite pared down now that I think about it. Just a swaddle, a heavier blankie, something super soft to wear home and a few burp cloths. Still in disbelief (or maybe denial!?) it'll be one year ago a week from tomorrow that the little nugget was born. Time truly flies!
Apple's bag looks perfect. Good luck with the specialist tomorrow š
I had some audio books for these long breastfeeding nights (I stayed in the hospital for three nights with all my three kids) and a lot of snacks for my husband (he ate them all in the fist 30' every time). My all time favourite: Chicken soup cooked and "served" by my husband in a thermo the day after the baby's birth- the best thing for a quick recovery!
I had a Laurie Berkner and Beastie Boys cd – never knew what my mood would bring, a simple sweet outfit from Tea collection – super soft (the basics) and a cute little bag. I absolutely love Apple's Bag. She will be such a lucky girl and you will be blessed. I have adored your blog and reading about your journey. Your family is beautiful!
I always packed Chapstick, a pillow and a reusable water bottle for me. For my babies, I made sure to pack little mittens for their hands so they would t scratch their sweet faces!
I've only just started thinking about my baby's hospital bag; I'm almost to 31 weeks. I planned on packing his going home outfit (soft and front snap), a heavier blanket and a swaddle blanket and a couple of burp cloths. Planning on taking diapers from the hospital!
