Yesterday we were eating lunch at home and Ainsleigh was on my lap…she was facing me with her arms tight around my neck. She kept putting her cheek up to my eye promting me for butterfly kisses, each time I would do it she would break out into the sweetest laughter.
Head back, full smile, precious giggles.
I was thinking in that moment how grateful I was to be sitting down, soaking her in. Not rushing through my day to get to the next thing, not checking off to-dos….just enjoying her sweetness, her smallness.
And then I thought it would be fun to put up a “mother’s challenge”. Just something for yourself. To take a day or week or month and do things that are extra sweet or special for or with our little ones. Everyone’s lists might look different.
I took the rest of the day yesterday and today to go be inspired by this list. Watch the joys on your tiny ones faces as you snuggle in to rock them to sleep or stay up past bedtime for an ice cream cone. priceless.
Your so gorgeous Casey! How lucky your kiddies are to have a sweet mama like you x
LOVE your mama challenge!!!! Beautiful Casey:) xoxo
Love the idea of making a list. I just posted about how I need to start 'unplugging' and spending more quality time with the kids. I will for sure be making a list soon!!!

So true, isn't it? I find it IS the little things that don't seem that big to us that mean the most to them:) Love this!
Love your idea. However, mine are grown do that won't work for me.
This is such a lovely post Casey 🙂
Your love for your kids shines through so brightly in all of your words & photos!!
We had that day yesterday too. Full of kisses and quality time. We certainly need more of those around here.
xoxo
i will definitely take some inspiration from this. thank you. xo
These are all so good…sometimes we just like to have a YES day here. Yes, you may…(whatever it is within reason). Children need to hear yes more often than no!
so, so great – i love napping with my little guy, playing with him on the floor, and stopping what i'm doing every so often to shower him with kisses and give him extra tickles. 🙂
This is a great, inspirational post. Thank you 🙂
I find so often that you and I are on the same page with how we mother. I had a similar moment like this tonight with mia as I rocked her to sleep.
I never ever want to take those moments for granted.
love this challenge, and love you!
I really appreciate this post and it reminds me and inspires me to do this more with my kids. I'm always stressing about 'to do' lists and things to sit down and play with them. Thanks for a the message! – Nicole from insidethemindofnicole.blogspot.com

I LOVE this idea. I'm going to have to make a list of my own!
Thank you so much for hosting this link up. I "met" so many sweet girls last week.
